Pinocchio has a wide influence beyond the film and main theme park attractions.  For starters it has been turned into a live-action musical with the title Geppetto which, unsurprisingly, focuses on Pinocchio's creator/father, Geppetto - played by Drew Carey.  The Blue Fairy in this musical is played by Julia Louis-Dreyfuss and Stromboli is Brent Spiner.  Made in 2000, I will return to this musical later in my blog.

Pinocchio's portrait is seen in the Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour in Tokyo Disneyland and characters from the film can be found in various iterations of the It's a Small World attraction.

As with many films, including Snow White, Pinocchio is featured in the Storybook Land Canal Boats.  Pinocchio's cobbled village including Geppetto's workshop can be seen at Disneyland in California.

Scenes from Pinocchio, at one time, featured as part of Donald's adventures in the now defunct Disneyland Paris show - Animagique.

Little seen character, the Blue Fairy appeared as part of the Disney Dreams: An Enchanted Classic stage show which was performed on various Disney cruise ships and Pinocchio's songs and characters have featured in many other shows, firework displays and parades around the different theme parks.

Cleo, the goldfish, gets her own drinks stand in Tokyo Disneyland.  A cute little shack with Cleo's name over the booth and a weather vane atop.

There are three shops themed around Pinocchio.  Firstly, in Fantasyland at Disneyland, there used to be Geppetto's Holiday Workshop.  There is still a version of this shop, called La Bottega di Geppetto, in Fantasyland at Disneyland Paris.  It seems to sell toys and arts and crafts items.  The Pleasure Island area of Downtown Disney is, obviously, named after the decadent location from the film.  There was a shop in the area called Pleasure Island Candles which, I imagine sold candles.  Finally, Tokyo Disneyland has a small shop stand called Stromboli's Wagon which sells fun caps and hairbands.

Pinocchio has also featured in a very un-Disney-like live maze experience at Hong Kong Disneyland.  It looks to have been absolutely terrifying.  Pinocchio featured in one year's maze where guests entered a world of nightmares.  The first scene was Pinocchio pleading for help among decayed puppets in Stromboli's Caravan.  Pinocchio is locked in chains and is consigned to being a performing slave.

An even rarer character, Honest John, manages to make an appearance alongside other villains at Tokyo Disneyland's Kooky Spooky Halloween Night.  This is unusual as Honest John, nor any of the villains from Pinocchio, make appearances in the villain parades and shows in the American and Paris theme parks.
