Fantasia Mousecellaneous

Fantasia has a huge legacy in the world of Disney.  Mickey's Sorcerer persona is well recognised and often seen in various places.

Not only did we finally get a new Fantasia in the year 2000, but there is also the live action Nicholas Cage film, The Sorcerer's Apprentice and a future project to be based on the Night on Bare Mountain sequence.

Along with the video games already mentioned, Fantasia is also featured in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance where it is a world players work through in the story.  Both Sorcerer Mickey and Yen Sid appear in the game along with the magical broomsticks and Chernabog.

Chernabog sits atop a ruined castle in a scene in Le Pays des Contes de Fees - the Disneyland Paris version of the Storybook Land Canal Boats.

The Sorcerer's Hat used to stand in Disney Hollywood Studios in front of the Great Movie Ride.  Unfortunately, this iconic attraction was dismantled in 2015.  The Sorcerer's Hat has appeared in various episodes of House of Mouse and is lost by Donald Duck in the story of Philharmagic, an attraction which can be visited at many of the Disney theme parks.  The Sorcerer's Hat also featured as a magical item in Once Upon a Time as did a character who was 'the Sorcerer's Apprentice'.  These both featured prominently in Season 4 of the show.

Mickey as the Sorcerer's Apprentice is also a popular costume for various shows and parades, in particular the extravaganza that is Fantasmic!

The Sorcerer's Apprentice also features as a scene in Voyage to the Crystal Grotto, an attraction at Shanghai Disneyland.  Music from the sequence plays as guests float past in their boats.
