Main Street USA: Dapper Dans and the Citizens of Main Street

Main Street USA at the Magic Kingdom and Disneyland often play host to the Dapper Dans.  They are a barbershop quartet who roam Main Street serenading visitors with the wide repertoire of songs including seasonal sets around Halloween and Christmas.

Coloured in red, blue, purple, yellow and occasionally green, trousers, waistcoats and straw boaters they are a welcome sight.

The Dans also dance and tell jokes.

These songsters also reside at Dapper Dans barber shop where, for a fee, guests can get their hair cut whilst being entertained by their singing.

Quartets of singers also used to appear at Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland.

The Dapper Dans are not the only residents of Main Street available to entertain and interact with visitors.  The Citizens of Main Street are also out and about.

The suffragettes are on Main Street campaigning for votes for women and you may be lucky to meet Chief Smokey Miller, chief of the volunteer fire department.
