Les Pirouettes du Vieux Moulin
All of the Disney theme parks have retired attractions. Whilst it may be sad to S say goodbye, it is a natural process for the development of the parks and new attractions means a very good reason to return to the parks again and again for the new experiences they can deliver.
One former attraction of Disneyland Paris was themed around the Silly Symphony short, The Old Mill. What makes this attraction interesting is that it still exists - sort of.
Originally, between Le Pays des Contes de Fees and It's a Small World, there was a ride called Les Pirouettes du Vieux Moulin. This was a small ferris wheel attached to the rear of a windmill - The Old Mill. Guests would board one of eight of large bucket-like vehicles hanging from the central axle. Riding in one of these gave guests a view of the circus train and canal boats. As the buckets revolved so did the windmill's sail on the opposite side of the structure.
